Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render is a dry mix, full polymer, cement-based render. Formulated for application over nonporous sheet and panel substrates, such as autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), expanded polystyrene (EPS), fibre cement (FC) and plaster-based materials. Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render is mixed with water only (no added Bond).
When used as a base coat, Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render can be applied up to 3-5 mm thick in one coat. Higher thicknesses can be achieved by applying multiple coats.
Ensure that all elements to be rendered have been constructed and fixed in accordance with the project plans / specifications and the substrate manufacturer’s recommendations. The substrate should be dry and free of any material that may affect the ability of the Euromix™ NPS Render to adhere to the surface (dirt, dust, mould oils, loose friable material, etc.). Mask or otherwise protect adjacent building elements and areas (windows, doors, roof coverings, paving, etc.) against inadvertent coating with render. Polymer modified renders are very difficult to remove once cured and can cause staining of certain materials.
Sound building design and construction methods recognise the likelihood of structural and material movements and allow for them to be managed through the placement of control joints (often also called expansion joints). Generally, control joints should not be coated over with Euromix™ products. Site specific advice for the treatment of control joints should be sought from the designer/builder/site manager.
Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render‘s polymer content is designed to enable the render to be mixed using water only. The required volume of clean, portable water should be poured into a mixing bucket. Then steadily add the Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render powder to the water while mixing it, using a suitable drill (or traditional concrete mixer), until it is smooth and lump free - this normally takes 3 to 4 minutes.
Allow the wet render to ‘stand’ for 5-10 minutes after the first mixing, then remix to achieve consistent slurry. The render is now ready for application. One 20 Kg bag of Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render requires @ 5.5 litres of water in mixing.
Euromix™ strongly recommends that Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render be applied by trades’ people with the appropriate skill, knowledge and experience to carry out the relevant works. Apply a first coat of Euromix™ NPS Keycoat Render to the desired thickness with hawk & trowel. Maximum coat thickness is 5mm. Use a straight edge to achieve a true and level finish.
Once the first coat of render has dried (at least 24 hours in normal conditions) prepare a topping coat of Euromix™ Skim Render, or any of the other Euromix™ finishing renders.
Rapid drying of the surface can cause cracking and result in a low strength / friable render. Do not apply Euromix™ Renders when conditions will be above 35ºC, especially if windy, nor where the temperature is below 5ºC or where the chill factor is high. Ensure that the curing render is protected from rain, extreme frosts and other sources of excess moisture (e.g.; overflowing gutters and down pipes). The drying times quoted below are for normal weather conditions, at 25ºC and 50% RH.

Euromix™ Renders are premium acrylic modified cement based renders designed to provide weather resistant, decorative, render finishes, suitable for application over most building material substrates in interior and exterior wall and ceiling applications. Euromix™ Cream, Skim and Render are AS1530.1 Non-Combustible Certified Renders.
Euromix™ Render is a multipurpose render, suitable for use both as a base coat where finishing renders, texture coats, etc. or architectural finishes (like tiles) are to be applied and as a finish coat, where a high quality sponge finish is required. It can be applied by hand or by machine, in layers ranging from 4mm to 8mm at a time.
Euromix FP Render is a dry mix, full polymer, cement based render formulated for application over sheet and panel substrates, like, autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC),expanded polystyrene (EPS), fibre cement (FC) and plaster based materials. Euromix FP Render is mixed with water only (no added Bond). When used as a base coat, Euromix FP Render can be applied up to 3-4 mm thick in one coat (over masonry and similar solid substrates).
